What Is A Blog?

Blogging is the practice of sharing written, photographic, and other media online. It can be a way for individuals to express their thoughts and experiences, or for businesses to promote their brand and build relationships with customers. In the early days of blogging (maybe 2000-2010) there were many blogs where people just posted up whatever they were thinking. They term "verbal vomit" comes to mind! lol

But it can be oh so much more! This gets mega-exciting...buckle up!

I'll spare the excessive verbiage and get straight to the point. And its a good one!

The Exciting Opportunity Blogging Gives!

The technology behind blogging (lets call it a "blogging platform") is absolutely ideal for running a business on.

You create articles ("blogs") supporting your central main theme
Within the blog post and sidebar you put adverts for paid products they can buy
You place subscriber opt-in forms on the post (to capture readers email addresses)

You then bring traffic to the blog post (pins on Pinterest, Facebook adverts, commenting in interest groups, email strategies etc). The traffic comes to the blog post, reads it and finds real value in what you write about.

At the same time they can opt-in to your email list or even see one of the adverts within the blog post and potentially buy your product. This idea is so simple it seems too simple! Well, its the way that a vast amount of people make not just a wage but a lot more. But of course, there is a learning curve to go on!
